Volunteer Law Students Association

Texas Tech University

The Volunteer Law Students Association (VLSA) is a student organization focused on providing assistance to the community at large. VLSA works in conjunction with West Texas Legal Service to provide legal assistance to indigent members of the Lubbock community. VLSA also works with other organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the Rape Crisis Center, and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Through VLSA, students are given the opportunity to give back to the community and develop a better understanding of their pro bono responsibilities as future attorneys.
