Lawyer's Success Story

On
Monday, October 24th, TLMA
will have lunch with Dean Huffman and our guest
speaker, John Mitchell upstairs in the Faculty
Conference Room 222 at 1:00 pm.
Free
box lunches will be provided for paid members.
Please RSVP me as soon as possible if you are
planning to attend the lunch. There are only
about 20 seats available so if you are interested
please let me know by this Thursday the 20th.
For
those that cannot eat lunch at 1:00 pm, our
guest speaker, John Mitchell, will speak in
the forum at 12:00 pm and Pizza will be served.
In the forum, John will talk speak about how
being a former Military member & veteran
of Desert Storm, among other things, has helped
him accomplish his goal of becoming a partner
in a large and prestigious law firm in Dallas.

'Em Up
Scott
Severt shows us the correct form when firing
a .45 Caliber sidearm at the 1st Annual TLMA
Shoot Out. Scott went on to place second and
the event was held at the Rustic Range in Slaton,
TX on October 1, 2005. Click

Chief
District Court Judge Tom Walker will take time
from his busy schedule to have lunch with members
of TLMA on Friday November
18th from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. In addition
to being a Chief District Court Judge, Judge
Walker is a General and served as a rear operations
commander. He is close friends with Dean Huffman
and served under him. He has worked in the Pentagon
and in the international law arena.
Although
this event is not until next month, Judge Walker
would like to know the expected size of the

so that we may reply to the Judge. You need

Yes
ladies and gentlemen, I am selling my pride
and joy. Unfortunately, I am strapped for cash
this semester and must let go of one of my toys.
Up for sale is my Springfield Armory XD, .357
Sig. It packs the power somewhere between a
.40 cal and a .45 cal. It is two-toned, olive
drab and black. It has seen maybe 200 rounds,
so it has been barely used. I am asking $400
for it. It comes with 2 magazines, which hold
10 rounds each, the original box, a gun lock,
bore brush, instructions, and even a soft-sided
case.

me know if you are interested and we'll set
up a time when I can show it off. Or, I can
take a picture and e-mail it.
