SPII’s Definition of Public Interest… The explicit purpose of SPII is to promote public interest law at Texas Tech University School of Law.  SPII defines “public interest law” as the practice of law that challenges inequality by working on behalf of underrepresented and disempowered groups of people.

 

At this time, SPII does not fund work for lobbying groups, or government entities such as public defender’s offices or D.A. offices.

 

Preference is given to those internships that are unpaid positions.
