Mission Statement
- Promote and support MLIG member participation in the law school's Law & Science Certification program
- Facilitate attendance by MLIG members at seminars and symposiums focusing on mineral law topics
- Host presentations and seminars on topics related to mineral law featuring practitioners and other professionals
- Host and promote networking opportunities for MLIG members with practitioners, policy-makers, and other professionals working on mineral law issues
- Encourage mutually beneficial working relationships between faculty, students, and professionals in these areas of law
- Promote awareness of legal, policy, and regulatory issues that affect minerals, natural resources, and the environment, and their legal and social implications
- Enhance the law school experience for students interested in mineral, natural resources, and environmental issues confronting Texas and our world
