Useful
Tidbits . . .
FINANCIAL AID
- Most law students
will be able to pick up their FA checks at the law school
- You MUST have your
Tech ID before getting your check
STUDENT ID's
- You will get your
student ID during orientation
LOCKERS
- All 1L's
are assigned a locker to share with one other student.
- Lockers are
located outside of Career Services.
- You will
need to provide your own lock.
EMAIL
- All Tech
Law Students will have an email account.
- Information
on email accounts is given at orientation
- Don't worry
about the HORRIBLE email address, you can get an alias!
WEB ACCESS
- TTU Net is
the internet server for Texas Tech
- Students
may sign up for web access as soon as they have their ID Cards.
- Cost is
$90.00 per year.
- You may pay
per semester.
- You may
sign up for an account in the basement of the main library (not the
law school library)
- TTU net is
much faster than most local servers!
MAIL BOXES
- All Law
Students will have a box outside of Administration where they can
receive messages from professors, other students, administration, and
secret admires!
PARKING
- 2L's and
3L's have priority for the reserved parking spaces in front of the Law
School.
- HOWEVER;
the commuter parking lot is only across the street from the Law School
-- not much further than some of the reserved spots!
- YES, you
will get a ticket if you park without a parking permit.
- YES, they
will tow your car if you park in reserved parking without a reserved
permit!
