You do not need a technical
background to be a part of the Legal Computer Society. The LCS
promotes discussion of legal computing issues while offering services to
the student body at large. The LCS is currently responsible for the
maintenance of the LCS web page, which is designed to keep students informed
of organizational and computer-related legal news. We need your
ideas on how to make the Internet work for law students in the new
millennium. In the coming year we hope to enhance the school's video
conferencing ability in order to get more law firms interested in Tech Law
students. We are also developing a plan to better-track Tech Law
graduates in order to improve the school's ranking. Our most
challenging goal is to publish as many Tech Law students' resumes as we
can to increase exposure to potential employers.
The LCS also promotes the free exchange of
outlines. We rely on students to donate the outlines so we can make
them readily accessible to everyone on our outlines
download page. We ask that any outlines submitted be with the
permission of the author, preferably in Word Perfect format, and
saved on a diskette for our convenience. See the Outlines
page for more information on how to submit an outline.
Our dues are $10 per year. First-year
students may pay $25 for a three-year membership. With membership, you can
receive a Tech Law license plate frame for only $2.50 (regular price,
$5.00). Additionally, if you donate five outlines on disk that we do
not already have, your membership is free! E-mail
us for more information.
