Karyna Soldatova
Carrie
spent the first ten years
of her life in Vietnam, before moving to Dallas, Texas in 1993. She
received her undergraduate studies in English and Government from The
University of Texas at Austin. She has studied abroad at Oxford University
where she took a course in Shakespeare. In pursuing her interests in
traveling and international law, Carrie will be studying abroad with Temple
Law in Tokyo this upcoming Spring 2008.
Gilda
is originally from Mexico.
She moved to the United States in 2001 after marrying her husband. She
attended law school in Mexico in the State of Chihuahua. She received her
Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Northern
Colorado. Her interests include international travel and cruising.
Hannah
was born and raised in
England. She moved to the United States in 2004 and hiked 200 miles of the
Appalachian Trail before moving to New Orleans. After the Hurricane in
2005, she and her family moved to Lubbock, Texas. She is a 2L, and hopes to
graduate in May 2009.
Lisa is
from Texas. She received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M
University, where she spent her summers in Kenya and Thailand. After
graduation, she completed an international affairs degree program before
beginning law school. She is currently in Washington DC completing a
government internship in international military law.
Karyna
was born and lived in
Ukraine and only moved to the States about eight years ago. She
graduated from the University of Texas - San Antonio with a major in International Business and
a minor in German. Karyna was part of the Jessup team in 2006-2007. She is
also one of the associate editors of the Texas Tech Lawyer. Karyna speaks
Russian, Ukrainian, and a little German. She is interested in
international, immigration, and constitutional law. Some of her favorite
hobbies are reading, finding new music, traveling, and spending time with
friends and family.
