ILS Events

General Meetings

From time to time throughout the semester, ILS will hold general meetings to which the entire student body is welcome. Usually, at these meetings we will try to provide information on various topics, such as jobs in international law, or study abroad programs. We will provide free appetizers (note that we are unable to pay for any alcoholic beverages, though attendees are welcome to purchase them at their own expense).

Lunches with a Professor

This is one of our most popular events. Three or four times per semester we offer our members a free lunch. These lunches are designed to provide a casual and informal setting in which to discuss various topics of international law with professors. This is a members exclusive event and in order to keep the discussion intimate, attendance is limited to 15. As a member, you will receive periodic emails announcing our lunches. Because seating is restricted, you are required to RSVP to reserve a spot. Past professors attending our lunches include Prof. Eissinger on Human Rights; Dean Huffman on Military law; Prof. Casto on the Alien Tort Claims Act; Prof. Eckstein on Transboundary Water issues.

Speakers

ILS will try to sponsor at least one speaker per school year.
