ASIL Webinar: Careers in International Law

Tuesday, January 30, 2007 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (CT)

Presenters:
ASIL Members;
John Cerone, New England School of Law;
Dietmar Prager, Debevoise & Plimpton LLP; and
Sarah Prosser, US Department of State

Moderator:
Elizabeth Andersen ASIL Executive Director

International law is behind some of the most dynamic issues of the day - from the death penalty debate in the United States to the integration of Europe. The American Society of International Law offers students a wide range of resources to explore opportunities in and perspectives on international law-from publications that shed light on emerging issues to career resources that offer assistance for those seeking both internships and full-time employment in the field. This webinar will explore careers in international law in private practice, international organizations, nongovernmental organizations, and the U.S. government. Presenters will describe their own career paths, give advice on developing a career in international law, and take your questions.

ASIL hosts webinars on an occasional basis as a free informational service to bring experts on current international law topics together with those who have an interest in them. Space is limited, and registrations are accepted on a first come, first served basis.

We hope you can join ASIL for this January 30th web-based event.
